About

Born in Lisbon, Ruben Do Valle made is Film BA in London after his first feature film in late 2014. 

Camera movements, visual appealing, quirky and out-of-the-box angles are some of the details he brings to a film. Having an acting background, has allowed him directing actors on set in a more comprehensive way, bringing out a better synergy between the director and the actor(s). 

Ruben started working in commercials in 2022. In such a short term, he works for some brands such as Vodafone, H&S, Iglo, Continente, Joaquim Chaves and Samsung.

In 2022 he won a "Silver winner" at Cannes Corporate Media with the documentary "Meaningful Lights" for Continente.

Recently, mid 2023, "RUI", his first fiction series, was pre-selected by academia portuguesa de cinema (Portuguese cinema academy) for the category "Best Series", making "RUI" the only digital series to be selected among other TV projects. 

Ruben is represented by ALBIÑANA in Spain and NEIGHBOR in Portugal
